Skill Requirement

For the majority of positions within this occupational group, a skill level equivalent to at least a bachelor’s degree or higher education is typically expected for employment consideration. The necessity for a minimum of five years of relevant experience and/or vendor certification can be waived if a formal qualification is in place. In certain situations, apart from the mandatory formal qualification, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may also be required (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).

What do Web Developers do?

Web Developers collaborate closely with web designers and programmers to create products based on customer-provided specifications. They communicate effectively with their team members and prioritize task completion within set timeframes. Their responsibilities include researching newly developed software systems, managing software documentation, and implementing backup plans in case of website or system failures.

  1. Analyzing, developing, and creating websites by combining artistic ability and imaginative potential with automated development and scripting languages, as well as communicating with various operating environments
  2. Using multimedia technologies, tools and utilities, immersive graphics, and programming languages to design and develop visual animations, images, presentations, games, audio and video recordings, and internet applications
  3. Communicating with network experts regarding web-related matters, such as website management and security, monitoring and compliance of Internet and web server availability, capacity allocation, user access, business continuity, data backup, and contingency planning for disaster recovery.

English Requirement

  1. IELTS score of minimum 6  (L, R, W), 7 in speaking and 7 overall;
  2. OET score with a minimum grade of B in all sections;
  3. TOEFL iBT with a minimum score (L:12, R:13, W:21, S:23, and overall L93);
  4. PTE Academic with a minimum score of 50 (L, R, W), 65 in speaking, and 65 overall
